Brittany Bell

My love for animals has been around as long as I have been. I got my first official dog when I was 16. Zelda was a German Shepherd and was supposed to be the family dog, but she quickly became my best friend. She changed my life and set me down this amazing path and had me coming up with new dreams for myself.

When I was 18 I got started in rescue and foster failed my first cat, who is special needs. She changed my life as well and is the reason why I have so much knowledge about animals with special needs. I have cared for various different medical conditions over the years. I am comfortable giving all sort of medications.

Rescue has been a big part of my life for a while now. I’ve helped TNR community cats, transport animals to events, vet visits, forever homes, etc. I’ve fostered many cats/kittens ranging from 4 days old to adulthood.

In January of 2021, I lost Zelda suddenly. I was absolutely devastated but quickly realized I couldn’t go long without a friend by my side. My life changed again when I added my current GSD, Nevaeh, into my life. I quickly realized that Nevaeh had some behavioral issues that I’ve never dealt with before. So for the past few years we’ve been working on her reactivity and fear of people. I found a love of working with her through her issues and have decided to start trying to obtain my training certification. I would one day love to work with more dogs with behavioral issues like her.

I started my animal welfare journey in 2016 working for a high volume animal shelter. Since the beginning I have been drawn to animal behavior, and what shapes animals to be the way they are. I have a soft spot in my heart for “scary” breeds. I have over a decade in familiarity with all breeds and behaviors. A fun fact about me is that I am a huge cat lover!

I specialize in enrichment activity for your dogs, because I truly believe a tired dog is a happy dog. I love helping high drive breed release their energy in ways that they were bred to do. My goal is to help as many as I can!
